To do now - when you get engaged

These are the first things to do when you decide to get married.

• Tell friends and relatives.
• Decide who is paying for what, and set your budget!
• Place announcement in the local paper.
• Arrange wedding insurance - cancelling a wedding can be expensive!
• Choose your Best Man, and Bridesmaids.
• Open a savings account for your "wedding bank account" and set up a standing order into it on the day you wages are recieved. That way you will have the funds when needed.

When completed, go on to the next list of things to do 12 to 6 months to go.
